Tip a creator or support them monthly

This guide is for viewers who want to pay a creator directly. There are two ways: a one-time tip on a film, and monthly support for the creator. Both use the same sheet, Stripe's card form, and the same split. You end with a tip sent, a monthly support running, and the page where you change or cancel it. The screenshots show Mara Quinn tipping and supporting QA Calibration One (@fcqa_films) in Stripe's test mode.

Before you start

  • You need an account. Signed out, Tip and Support open the sign-in prompt and reopen the sheet once you are in.
  • Tips start at €2 (EUR 2) and go up to €1,000. Support starts at €3.00 per month. Everything is charged in EUR.
  • The buttons show only for verified creators, never on your own films. A creator can switch tips off for a film; then only Support shows.
  • The card form inside the sheet is Stripe's. Your card number never reaches Fluttercube.

Step 1 — Click Tip

Open a film and find the action bar under the AI Origin panel: Like, Add to watchlist, Share, then Tip, Support, and the report flag. Click Tip. The same button sits on the creator's profile and, as a small icon, on content cards.

The Tip button sits in the action bar under the AI Origin panel, between Share and Support.

Step 2 — Choose an amount

A sheet titled "Tip QA Calibration One" slides up; its intro states the rule: you pay the round amount, Stripe's fee comes off first, and the rest splits 90% to the creator and 10% to the platform. Under Choose an amount, pick the €2.00, €5.00, or €10.00 preset, or type your own under Or enter a custom amount (the field reads Amount in EUR); the sheet tells you if you are under €2 or over €1,000. If you have never saved a card, a checkbox offers Save this card for one-tap tips.

The three presets under Choose an amount, with €2.00 selected and the custom field below them.

Step 3 — Read the breakdown

The sheet then shows Here's the breakdown with five lines. For the recorded €2.00 tip: Amount paid €2.00, Payment processing €0.20 (Stripe's estimated fee), Net €1.80, Creator gets 90% €1.62, and Platform 10% €0.18. A note flags the fee as an estimate; the exact fee is set when the card clears. Click Send tip.

The breakdown lists Amount paid, Payment processing, Net, Creator gets 90% and Platform 10% for the €2.00 tip.

Step 4 — Enter your card

The sheet switches to the payment step, headed "Pay €2.00". Everything below the heading is Stripe's form: payment-method tabs with Card first, then card number, expiry, security code, and country, plus an optional Link block. Fill in the card fields and click the pay button at the bottom.

With a saved card this step is skipped: the amount step shows the card's brand and last four digits, plus Use another card. A decline charges nothing and returns you to the amount step with the reason; click Send tip to retry.

The Pay €2.00 step, with Stripe's card form filled in with the test card.

Step 5 — See the confirmation

The sheet confirms the tip: the creator was credited and a receipt is on its way to your inbox. Click Back to watching; the film is where you left it.

The confirmation says QA Calibration One was credited and a receipt is on its way, with Back to watching as the only button.

Step 6 — Start monthly support

Click Support in the same bar. The sheet is titled "Support QA Calibration One" and works like the tip sheet with three differences:

  • The presets under Choose a monthly amount read €3.00/mo, €5.00/mo, and €10.00/mo; the custom field under Or enter a custom monthly amount reads Amount per month in EUR, with a floor of €3.
  • A note says support is recognition only: a supporter badge and a spot on the public supporters list, the same at every amount, with nothing locked behind it.
  • The breakdown is headed Here's the first month and says it renews monthly and you can cancel anytime.

Click Start monthly support. The card step is headed "Support €3.00/mo" and repeats the terms: charged now and every month, cancel anytime in Payments & Support. Fill in Stripe's form and confirm. The confirmation reads You're now supporting! followed by the creator's thank-you note.

The Support sheet with €3.00/mo selected, the recognition-only note, and the first-month breakdown above Start monthly support.

Step 7 — You're now supporting

A few seconds after the first payment clears, the Support button on this creator's films and profile reads Supporting and links to your payments page. A Supporter badge appears next to your name on their films' comments, and you are listed under Supporters on their profile. You can hold one active support per creator.

The action bar now shows Supporting in place of Support, and the Supporter badge sits next to Mara's name on her comment below.

Step 8 — Manage it in Payments & Support

Open your account menu (your avatar, top right), click Account, then Payments & Support in the left rail. Each support is a row with Creator, Monthly amount, Status (Active), and Next renewal (DD/MM/YYYY). Change amount opens a sheet with the same presets and custom field; pick a new amount, click Save, and it starts at the next renewal with no partial charge. Manage card & receipts, below the table, opens Stripe's portal for card updates and receipts.

The Payments & Support row for QA Calibration One: €3.00/mo, Active, renewal on 07/10/2026, with Change amount and Cancel.

Step 9 — Cancel support

On the row, click Cancel. A dialog asks "Stop supporting QA Calibration One?" and states that your support stays active until the renewal date and will not renew. Click Keep supporting to back out, or Cancel Support to confirm. The recording confirmed it: the status becomes "Cancels on 07/10/2026", the renewal column reads No further renewals, Change amount is disabled, and the Cancel button disappears. Supporting on the watch page and your badge stay until that date.

The Stop supporting dialog says the support stays active until 07/10/2026 and will not renew, with Keep supporting and Cancel Support below.

Good to know

  • Amounts: tips €2 to €1,000 per transaction; support €3 to €1,000 per month.
  • The split is the same for both and for every renewal. The stored split uses the real fee once the card clears; that is what the creator's wallet reports.
  • Support is recognition, not a paywall. Nothing on Fluttercube is gated behind it, and the badge is identical at €3 and €1,000.
  • Receipts arrive by email for every tip and renewal and cannot be switched off under Notifications.
  • Monthly support puts your display name and @handle on the creator's public supporters list; a tip does not.
  • Creators: the wallet side, including payouts, is in Your creator dashboard, analytics and wallet.
